The Barros Family
Argentinians Carlos and Chelita Barros came to faith through CRU while studying architecture and medicine in Argentina. In 2001, they left their careers to pursue biblical training and full-time ministry to our valley’s Latino community through The Vail Church.
Six years later, they returned to Tucuman, Argentina, where they served in CRU campus ministry focusing on evangelism and discipleship. After completing CRU Family Life ministry training, they later transitioned to couples and family ministry. In 2021, they left CRU to join Sheperd’s Heart Ministries full-time and expand their reach through conferences, retreats, and personal counseling and therapy sessions. They have recently started a national ministry to provide resources to churches and organizations to share the gospel and encourage healthy marriages and families. They have added member care and debriefing to their offerings as they seek to serve ministry leaders and mission agencies across Argentina. Part of their long-term God-given dream is to purchase a home and build a retreat apartment on the property to continue investing in couples, families, and other missionary and ministry leaders.

We are asking God for:
- Wisdom to support and encourage missionary and ministry leaders who are part of the mobilization movement of taking the gospel to the nations
- Increasingly open doors to take the gospel and Biblical marriage tools to the lost
- Physical, spiritual, and emotional strength to raise four daughters
- Financing for the remaining $ 20,000 to purchase their rental house and $ 50,000 to build a small apartment complex, “La Posada,” a small apartment complex that provides lodging for ministry leaders and their families.
