The Problem of Work
Mar 9, 2025 • Mike Sadler
This message explores how work was originally created by God as a good and meaningful part of human life, but was distorted by sin. In the Garden, work was purposeful and life-giving, but after the fall it became marked by frustration, selfish ambition, fruitlessness, and idolatry. Scripture shows how sin changed our relationship with work, turning it into toil and often a source of identity or pride. Yet through Christ, God redeems our work, giving it new purpose, power, and perspective. As new creations, believers are called to approach their work as an act of worship, serving as salt and light in the world and bringing glory to God in all they do.
