This Christmas message reflects on how seasons of loss and sorrow can shape wisdom in ways that success and comfort cannot. Scripture teaches that God meets His people in the midst of their brokenness, and the birth of Jesus is the ultimate evidence of that truth. The promised Son is everything humanity needs: a Counselor who guides, a Warrior who defeats evil, a Father who shepherds, and a Prince who brings peace and reconciliation. All of these promises are fulfilled in the name Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” Christmas reminds us that God did not stay distant from human pain but entered into it to bring light, peace, and redemption.
