Nicodemus was a respected religious leader, yet he missed the heart of true salvation. Jesus teaches that faith is not about behavior modification or religious effort, but about a supernatural new birth through the Spirit. Salvation is a miracle God performs in us when we look to Christ in faith. Motivated by His great love, God offers new life to all who believe in His Son.
