PRAYER AND CARE

Prayer

In prayer we are raising up disciples of Christ who know His purposes and see His power.

At The Vail Church we believe that prayer is the way that we fellowship with God and also how He ministers to us.  We want to model, teach, equip, and bring comfort to our church body in prayer and through prayer.  We believe what James 5:16 teaches which says that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective and that when we confess and pray for one another that healing can begin.  Jesus modeled for us the importance of prayer in times alone with the Father and also taught His disciples how to pray for those in need.  We desire to live in this way as Jesus taught us.

Care

We abide in the love of Christ by extending His love and care to others.

We are called not only to love God, but to express that love by caring for others. When we pray for each other, bear one another’s burdens, spend time together, and walk with each other through the events of life, we demonstrate God’s love to the world. Here are some of the ways The Vail Church is committed to caring for people’s needs.

Hospitalizations

Know a member of The Vail Church who is in the hospital? Let us know how we can help.

Meals Ministry

At no cost to the recipient, The Meals Ministry team prepares and delivers meals to members of our church family who are recovering from medical issues, personal crisis, or loss, or have newborn infants.

Meal Coordinator should receive a 48 hour notice before starting that first meal and Meal Schedules usually last 1-2 weeks with one meal every OTHER day (exceptions can apply).

Shepherd Care

Shepherd Care is a mission of encouragement and companionship to struggling members of The Vail Church family. Armed with prayer, kind words, attentive ears and a willingness to reach out to others, Shepherds make a real difference in lives. Each individual is paired with a Shepherd who commits to contact them on a regular basis. Shepherd’ Care participants are not professional counselors.

Let us know of someone who needs a shepherd, or to become a shepherd by clicking the button below.

Benevolence

The purpose of our Benevolence Ministry is to draw people closer to Christ by helping meet their practical needs during a financial crisis or transition according to biblical directives and fiscal constraints.

Please review the benevolence guidelines and submit a request by clicking the button below.

Welcome Home Baby

The Children’s Ministry prepares and delivers special gifts to welcome the newest arrivals into our church family. In addition, they can connect families to the Meals Ministry and provide information about our Children’s Ministry.
