The Disciple's Prayer

The Disciple’s Prayer is more than a familiar set of words to repeat. It is a prayer that both brings our requests to God and shapes the people we are becoming. Jesus teaches us to approach God as our perfect Father, trusting His power, submitting to His rule, depending on His daily provision, receiving and extending forgiveness, and seeking His protection from temptation. As dependent children living in a fallen world, we can confidently call out to “Our Father in the heavens,” knowing He is both exalted above us and present with us.
